Mayan Daykeeper Kimi

The essence of Kimi is death of the physical body in this lifetime. Kimi invites us to look at all aspects of death. Make death an ally, rather than an unknown fear. Death & rebirth happens every day to us, in the form of skin cells for one. Death of ideas, habits, beliefs that no longer serve you. You may wish to look at traditions like ‘The Day of the Dead’, honouring and connecting with your sacred ancestors in spirit. Or set your intent just to have an awareness of death today, and see what arises.

If you have been following my blog the information below is a repeat from our last Kimi day Wednesday 19th April.

As with all things find your own truth. What resonates keep, what doesn’t discard.

Those affected by Kimi’s presence may be aware of ancestors,
both their own and those of others.
Kimi may bring to your awareness the immortal spirit
within and beyond the human body.

On Kimi days, you may choose to remember ancestors,
appreciate what has been passed on to you
and remember that a part of you lives on forever.

Those born with Kimi as their Daykeeper
are capable of clarifying the meaning and purpose of death
through discovering the gifts of humanity’s ancestors.
They respect those that have gone before them
and often give voice to those whose voices are no longer heard.

Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah

I chose this beautiful Pieris Japonica as today’s photo because of the way it’s new leaves come out red and then transition to green. For me it’s a wonderful metaphor for using our intuition. When starting to work with our intuition we “Flame on our intuition”. The more we practice the more it becomes part of our nature. Residing in our heart space, our 4th chakra which is represented by the colour green.

THE MAYAN DAYKEEPERS

The Mayan Daykeepers are spiritual beings with an archetypal energy within cycles of the Tzol’Kin or Mayan astrology. There are 20 Daykeepers each one presenting different energies & assigned to be present on certain days of the year. Rotating in a twenty day cycle.

I have found that having an awareness of which Daykeeper is present on any particular day, informs me about the active energy present that day. In this way I have more ease, fluidity & healing in my journey.

I offer a snipit of the knowledge presented in the book Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah. They present comprehensive information on the way the calendar works, the energetics of the Daykeepers, the iconography of each Daykeeper, the symbol of each Daykeeper, meditations with the Daykeepers, as well as your personal birth Daykeeper.
