Cheun’s essence is the imaginative blending when we create alone or together, and the enjoyment that comes from these creations.
Isn’t it interesting that today is Mother’s Day. To those of you for whom it is applicable and enjoy it a Happy Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day mom.
I have found that this is a pivotal piece in intimate relationships. What are we co-creating together? Yes it can be children, but that is not the only choice.
On Gabriola we are very co-creative, from arts festivals, the museum, our own bus system, medical clinic, a group for almost anything you could imagine & on & on. What is needed we create together. Right now one group I’m involved in, is looking at a green cemetery for our little island. The joy is I just know it will happen, it’s not a question. Gabriolans will make it happen.
This knowing gives me a great sense of comfort & stability & expands to me knowing that regardless of having no family closer than Toronto, & few close friends on the island, I am still supported & cared for. If I am in need and ask for help, the help comes, what I need comes. Cheun’s essence is strong on this little island in the Salish Sea, and I am grateful.
I wish you a creative, joyful Cheun day.
Gabriola Theatre Festival in our little village center – I feel it captures Cheun’s energy beautifully.
As with all things find your own truth. What resonates keep, what doesn’t discard.
If you have been following my blog the information below is a repeat from our last Cheun day, Monday 24th April.
Those who are experiencing Chuen’s presence may feel an energetic high and
a positive sense of power in their ability to responsibly create their reality.
On Cheun’s day, you may experience creative, artistic desires and abilities,
an openness to play and an ability to enjoy life.
It’s a day to be a conscious co-creator and a joyful, positive participant in the creation of life.
Those born with Chuen as their Daykeeper may be happy-go-lucky,enjoy responsibility or
be envied by others for their good fortune.

Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah
Creating this art piece above brought me all kinds of joy, it just makes me smile.
I love beach combing & then seeing what wants to come into creation.
There had been a huge amount of rain & part of the embankment
by the beach had a mudslide.
This is one of the roots I found in the rubble.
It’s a Cheun day, so what are you inspired to create?
Art, food, music, a wonderful day for yourself?
We are the creators, it’s up to us, to create a life that nourishes us on all levels.
THE MAYAN DAYKEEPERS
The Mayan Daykeepers are spiritual beings with an archetypal energy within cycles of the Tzol’Kin or Mayan astrology. There are 20 Daykeepers each one presenting different energies & assigned to be present on certain days of the year. Rotating in a twenty day cycle.
I have found that having an awareness of which Daykeeper is present on any particular day, informs me about the active energy present that day. In this way I have more ease, fluidity & healing in my journey.
I offer a snipit of the knowledge presented in the book Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah. They present comprehensive information on the way the calendar works, the energetics of the Daykeepers, the iconography of each Daykeeper, the symbol of each Daykeeper, meditations with the Daykeepers, as well as your personal birth Daykeeper.
