Love is … Life Partners ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Chik’chan

Life Partner(s): Love is ……

~ Hugs & kisses
~ A gentle touch
~ Honouring your partners needs
~ Staying within your own boundaries
~ Not crossing their boundaries
~ Healthy juicy sex that satisfies all parties
~ Deep intimacy
~ Allowing yourself to be vulnerable
~ Healthy relationship agreements
~ A caress
~ Taking out the garbage when it’s not your turn
~ Surprising your partner with supper when they are exhausted after work
~ Knowing your partners buttons & supporting them through their healing
~ Surprising your partner with a giant blank artist canvas (Guess who this happened to?)
~ Allowing your partner to fight their own battles
~ Not rescuing your partner (Rescuing: Trying to solve their problems when you are not asked to do so)
~ Staying in your own circle
~ Touching fingers in bed
~ Cuddling or not cuddling, honouring your partner(s) preference
~ Honouring relationship agreements
~ Going to events that bore the crap out of you, because they love it
~ Being okay with your partner not coming to events that you know they have no interest in
~ Both/all parties having their own space and alone time
~ Buying presents you know they’ll love, not presents you think they should love or you love
~ Supporting them
~ Defending them when they ask you to do so

Well there’s more, much more and what is important or relevant to one person may not be to another. The dance in relationship is for all parties needs to be met. Being true partners, not using power over another. When we discuss and make relationship agreements, the nitty gritty of life is taken care of, and we are then free to enjoy the relationship. Relationship agreements contain everything; who takes out the garbage, cooks, cleans, financial matters, what are you going to create together, what is your ‘break it/the relationship is over’ scenarios and yes even sex. When we’re clear about our needs and expectations and come to a mutual agreement without compromise, but rather agreements all parties are happy with, relationships have a firm foundation and love has a setting in which to flourish.

When I was growing up there was this lovely cartoon series created by New Zealand cartoonist Kim Casali. (Loveiscartoon.com) I remember waiting for the newspaper to see what the cartoon was that day. It is one of the few things that stuck in my memory about that time in my life. So I’m taking a leaf out of her book, sans cartoons to illuminate my thoughts about love in the upcoming blog posts. Some you may agree with some you may not, it is just my opinion, you have your own and that’s as it should be.

I encourage you to add your own in the comments sections & I will add them in.

Mayan Daykeeper Chik’chan ~ The essence of Chik’chan is primal nature in all it’s naturalness. Simple instinct & knowing, when being in alignment with our true nature.

Chik’chan’s prescence may be experienced as a sensitivity to nature in its simplicity.
With this comes an ability to correct what has been altered from its natural state.
This is done to return to a relaxed state of being.
Your conscious awareness is then clear and uncomplicated.
Chik’chan days are good for accessing the deeper instincts of human nature.
Try doing something with your eyes closed or in the dark.
Distinguish between the fears that genuinely warn you of danger and those that complicate your life and keep you from trusting your true desires.

Those born with Chik’chan as their Daykeeper have a sensitivity to the simplicity within all things. They possess the ability to realign with the natural flow.
This can be done for themselves as well as for others.
They have the potential to be a healer when this ability is trusted and developed.

This is an exerpt from Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah

Your interpretation and experience is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to find your own truths and their relevance in your life. This is really important. If something resonates great, if not chuck it out. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey and manifesting what you want.
