Love: Animals sit in the North of the Love Medicine Wheel
Animals being in the north is no surprise they sit there on other wheels. Our closest animals tend to be pets, and oh the sweet, sweet unconditional love they give. Sometimes it is the only unconditional love we experience in our lifetime, and what a gift it is. Then there are the domestic animals, horses, cows, sheep, chickens, goats, etc. Having lived in the country now for some time I have had the opportunity to interact with some of these guys. They are most certainly not dumb animals, but individuals just like us with their own personality traits. From what I see at annual fall fairs, there is a lot of love from their respective humans.
Interconnections on other medicine wheels:
~ Animals
~ Animal Totems
~ Collective consciousness of the animals
~ Air: Birds
~ Wisdom and knowledge: animals naturalness can teach us about how to be in the world in balance
~ The physical: Can you move like a cat? Action when needed, total relaxation when not.
~ Fear: Animals teach about being alert, rather than fearful
~ Ingenuity: We are learning more and more about the ingenuity of animals here’s a quick video on 3 of them Animal Ingenuity
~ Mindfulness: Animals are masters of this
~ Intentionality: Crows enough said?
~ Self-awareness – Self-awareness not unique to mankind
~ Perception versus projection: Animals don’t project past history or individual paradigms onto their reality. (Well I don’t think so anyway) They live in the moment, perceiving their environment, we can learn to emulate that.
When I was growing up there was this lovely cartoon series created by New Zealand cartoonist Kim Casali. (Loveiscartoon.com) I remember waiting for the newspaper to see what the cartoon was that day. It is one of the few things that stuck in my memory about that time in my life. So I’m taking a leaf out of her book, sans cartoons to illuminate my thoughts about love in the upcoming blog posts. Some you may agree with some you may not, it is just my opinion, you have your own and that’s as it should be.
I encourage you to add your own in the comments sections & I will add them in.
Mayan Daykeeper Lamat ~ Lamat’s essence is the creative process in all forms.
Lamat’s presence may be experienced as an inner awakening.
It may be a new truth revealing itself and developing.
Lamat may be a growth spurt,
with a sudden movement or development toward success or completion.
When Lamat is the Daykeeper,
you may find that certain activities move along more quickly and easily.
These are good days for manifestation
and for reproducing what has already been done.
Those born on a Lamat day may experience
a new potential within themselves.
It is an ability that appears to be unique
or different from that of family members, friends or associates
This is an excerpt from Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah

Your interpretation and experience is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to find your own truths and their relevance in your life. This is really important. If something resonates great, if not chuck it out. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey and manifesting what you want.
