The 11th Imagining ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Kaban

Your interpretation and experience is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to find your own truths and their relevance in your life. This is really important. If something resonates great, if not chuck it out. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey and manifesting what you want.

On Sept 21st Mayan Daykeeper Imix brought us back to the beginning of a new cycle of 20 days. This cycle we are looking at creation through imagination. The relevant daily information on today’s Mayan Daykeeper is below todays musings.

We are creators of our lives, what we imagine we create.

We are looking at ‘The Twelve Imaginings’. The were given to Hyemeyohsts Storm by Estcheemah. She was a Zero Chief. Hyemeyohsts wrote these down in his book Lightningbolt. What is a Zero Chief? My understanding is the Zero chiefs were a secret group of people that keep the spiritual & healing knowledge of the Native Americans when it needed to go underground, to preserve it and keep it safe due to colonization. Now I could be wrong, but there it is, make of it what you will.

We will do an imagining a day for 2 days. On the third day I will add an imagining of my own. You are invited to add imaginings of  your own in the comments section on any day. On the 20th day of the cycle I will list all the imaginings that have been submitted.

The 11th Imagining: I imagine that I can be the kind Teacher to my Self

I invite you to sit with this imagining, and see what it means to you.

Here’s some of what it means to me:
~ I no longer inflict judgement, shame & blame on myself
~ I am understanding & compassionate with myself
~ I offer myself support and encouragement
~ I excel where I can & accept my limitations without a charge
~ Life is full of wonder

Mayan Daykeeper Kaban ~ Kaban’s essence is the human mind, it’s processes & abilities. Plasticity, the positive & negative effects of thought, computational ability.

Kaban may be experienced as mental cleansing,
possibly mental clarity, and, often, mental overwhelm.
On a Kaban day, you may clear your mind
by watching the movement and content of your thinking
without attachment or judgement.
This will enable you to think more clearly
and focus your thoughts on a higher level of consciousness.

Those born with Kaban as their Daykeeper
tend to have unique mental abilities
with a potential to be clear thinkers.
Those talents can be used to access higher levels of consciousness
and effectively resolve conflicts and complex problems.

The Interconnection of Need & The Kachinas ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Kaban

Your interpretation and experience of these energies is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to explore what they mean to you and their relevance in your life. This is really important. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey.

This cycle I am looking at the interconnection between The Twenty Great Teachers of Life and The Earth Count. Let’s see what their interconnection has to teach us. The relevant daily information on each energy is below todays musings.

The Interconnection of Need & The Kachinas ~ So what the heck are the kachinas? The kachinas are energies in the spirit realm that form your sleeping dream images, much like a projector does at the movies. They offer you images that help you learn, heal & grow. One of your needs is to understand life in order to survive & evolve, and one of the ways you can do this is through your dreams. One of the uses of your sleeping dreams is a vehicle for messages from your spirit, to inform you about something in your life. Those images within your dream are manifested by the kachinas.

What have your dreams taught you lately?

17 – The Great Teacher of Need
Need teaches us about survival adaptability

Well this one seems straight forward. This refers to need, in the light. If we are expecting someone else to fill our needs this is codependency not survival adaptability. That said, this precludes asking for help when that is the best course of action, not done out of co-dependency. This is called interdependency, when we help one another and there is an energy exchange. Adaptability is also flexibility, flexibility is one of the most successful strategies for survival, but also for thriving.

I am not that thrilled by formal exercise, it has always been a challenge for me. Part of my healing journey in recovery, was a requirement of doing exercise every day. I found that if I did it in the morning, then it got done, with the least amount of resistance. In one of my check up sessions with my teacher, I proudly told her this strategy. ‘Great’ she said, ‘Now you’re not allowed to do it in the morning’. I protested, she made the point, that life’s not like that, to attain the discipline to do it, you need to be flexible enough  to do it anytime, otherwise any little thing can throw you off, and your exercise will fall by the wayside. As irritating as I found this, it was a great lesson. If we cannot be flexible it inhibits growth, change, movement, survival.

Another example of survival adaptability is happening right now in our coral reefs. Stag horn corals, one of the main reef builders in the Pacific and Indian oceans, cannot survive the increased temperatures and acidity of our oceans. Scientists have found that they are cross breeding with another coral that can handle these conditions. Survival adaptability!

In what ways have you changed to survive?
How has this affected your life?
In places that you have not been able to adapt/be flexible, how does this affect your life?
How flexible are you?
Where is an easy place to start to increase your flexibility?

Kaban is here today (Mayan Daykeeper)

Kaban’s essence is the human mind, it’s processes & abilities. Plasticity, the positive & negative effects of thought, computational ability.

17 – Kaban    and    17 – Sphere of The Kachinas. The Kachinas are the powers that form all Symbols, Dreams and Images. Come, Children, and place your Painted Masks of the Natural World, your dreams, your dread, your drama, and your healing upon your face. Come, adults, remove the Masks of your culture from your face and Learn. (Hyemeyohsts Storm’s Earth Count)

So 17 in both cycles is about our ability to learn, change and grow and how we do that. I think sometimes we forget that children learn by ‘trying things on’. All those stages they go through, are stages of exploration into who and what they are. Especially the teen years, which we know presents all kinds of challenges for care givers, as their children try on many different masks to discover what works for them as they truly separate from the identity of their caregivers/family. We all come out of this stage wearing various masks, and it is within our maturing and healing that we get to take off the ones that no longer serve us. With each new mask that we remove we gain more freedom and greater authenticity.

This extends out to the collective of humans. As we cling to our nationhood or religion or politics, etc., we stay separated and divided. That’s their purpose, to say we’re different from you and let’s face it our egos embrace the ‘and we’re better than you’ mentality. So how to embrace these aspects of our world culture without that battle mentality? Well I’m not quite sure. I know for myself that with all the best of intentions, to be accepting of others beliefs, rules and laws, if they are radically different from my own, I am challenged by judgement.

What I have experienced is the more masks I remove is directly proportional to the amount of judgement I hold. So perhaps this is all there is to it, keep working on your own healing is the best way to make the world a better place.

So I invite you today, to just hold an awareness of places, people and things that rub you the wrong way. What masks are you wearing that holds the judgement regarding these irritations? This is the first step in removing them, awareness that they even exist. If this seems like a sucky idea, how about watching others masks? It will trigger you less, but also inform you, as the masks you notice will still have something to do with you. (You may now swear). Play with this, if it’s serious who the heck will do it? Oh I know the folks who wear the mask of doing everything the hard way. I know that mask well.

Have a playful day with masks. Oh and if racoon shows up, hello, the universe is not being subtle!

Pondering ……. The mind is busy, busy and yet when we clear our minds we can reach higher levels of consciousness. The frequency of our brain waves change, and in fact get faster at higher the levels of consciousness. What does that all mean, haven’t a clue. Maybe it’s like having grit in a machine, it slows it down, hence our internal dialogue actually slows down our brain. Just one more reason to eliminate those old internal dialogue tapes.

Should you wish to learn a technique to eliminate your old internal dialogue, contact me, and we’ll get busy clearing them up.

It’s a Kaban day (Mayan Daykeeper)

Our brain & life, a metaphor for each other from my perspective at this moment in history anyway. Constantly changing…..   affects our reality……   is affected by our actions…..   there is always something new available to be discovered…..   is plastic…..    is effected by our emotions…..   directly impacts the heart…..   etc…..

Kaban’s essence is the human mind, it’s processes & abilities. Plasticity, the positive & negative effects of thought, computational ability.

Mayan Daykeeper Kaban

Kaban’s essence is the human mind, it’s processes & abilities. Plasticity, the positive & negative effects of thought, computational ability.

How we feel has so much to do with what is going on in the brain. Our thoughts, actions, emotions, all play a role, which is great news as we can therefore affect it in a way that makes us feel good.

It never ceases to amaze me how spot on these energies are for me. I woke cranky this morning, a ‘why get out of bed day’, which is weird as it’s my first full weekend to myself in over 6 weeks, the weather is supposed to be great and yet….. So nothing for it but ….. ABBA! That’ll shift my brain chemistry, off to sing & dance while making breaky.

As with all things find your own truth. What resonates use, what doesn’t discard.

THE MAYAN DAYKEEPERS

The Mayan Daykeepers are spiritual beings with an archetypal energy within cycles of the Tzol’Kin or Mayan astrology. There are 20 Daykeepers each one presenting different energies & assigned to be present on certain days of the year. Rotating in a twenty day cycle.

I have found that having an awareness of which Daykeeper is present on any particular day, informs me about the active energy present that day. In this way I have more ease, fluidity & healing in my journey.

I offer a snipit of the knowledge presented in the book Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah. They present comprehensive information on the way the calendar works, the energetics of the Daykeepers, the iconography of each Daykeeper, the symbol of each Daykeeper, meditations with the Daykeepers, as well as your personal birth Daykeeper.
