Playing with Being Present ~ Sex

Today’s Mayan Daykeeper is Eb ~ Eb is an energy, guardian angel/entity, spirit guide, (fill in your own belief word). An energy that helps you connect between the physical & spiritual realms. (Full info at bottom of post)

Day 12 of  Playing with Being Present: Today’s theme is SEX
Hmmmm edgy, edgy we are vulnerable, exposed. It’s very comforting to check out mentally with substance or otherwise. However being totally present …… increases the experience exponentially. Now being totally present all the time is not the goal, just for more of the time than usual. You are invited to play with being present during sex today, with or without a partner,

Here are some questions to ponder after you’ve done playing with the theme for the day.
~ Does it differ from your usual experience?
~ Have you had a new awareness from this experience?
~ Do you want to play with this again, or did it suck?
~ Was there any value in this experience? What ….
~ Are you beating yourself up for not playing well? Be present with that, and see if you want to repeat the flogging, or might you find that being present with a wee bit of compassion for yourself feels good?

Play, play, play. This is not a test, not supposed to be hard. If it’s not fun don’t do it now, try playing again later.

In this 20 day cycle you are invited to play with being present. Being in the present moment really means we are being conscious. Not in the past and not in the future. When we are in the present all the kvetching we do is not there. What you may notice is that kvetching/internal dialogue is about the past or the future.  Every day will bring a new theme with which to play. An invitation to experience being present for as short or as long as you like. This is not a test, perfection is an illusion and not the natural law. Natural law is imperfection, if you doubt this, I invite you to go into nature and find one perfect thing. There is perfection in imperfection. No matter what we play, sports, games or anything else, with repetition comes learning and improvement. So be gentle with yourself, this is not work, it is play. Have fun experiencing …….

Your interpretation and experience is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to find your own truths and their relevance in your life. This is really important. If something resonates great, if not chuck it out. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey and manifesting what you want.

Love is … Life Partners ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Chik’chan

Life Partner(s): Love is ……

~ Hugs & kisses
~ A gentle touch
~ Honouring your partners needs
~ Staying within your own boundaries
~ Not crossing their boundaries
~ Healthy juicy sex that satisfies all parties
~ Deep intimacy
~ Allowing yourself to be vulnerable
~ Healthy relationship agreements
~ A caress
~ Taking out the garbage when it’s not your turn
~ Surprising your partner with supper when they are exhausted after work
~ Knowing your partners buttons & supporting them through their healing
~ Surprising your partner with a giant blank artist canvas (Guess who this happened to?)
~ Allowing your partner to fight their own battles
~ Not rescuing your partner (Rescuing: Trying to solve their problems when you are not asked to do so)
~ Staying in your own circle
~ Touching fingers in bed
~ Cuddling or not cuddling, honouring your partner(s) preference
~ Honouring relationship agreements
~ Going to events that bore the crap out of you, because they love it
~ Being okay with your partner not coming to events that you know they have no interest in
~ Both/all parties having their own space and alone time
~ Buying presents you know they’ll love, not presents you think they should love or you love
~ Supporting them
~ Defending them when they ask you to do so

Well there’s more, much more and what is important or relevant to one person may not be to another. The dance in relationship is for all parties needs to be met. Being true partners, not using power over another. When we discuss and make relationship agreements, the nitty gritty of life is taken care of, and we are then free to enjoy the relationship. Relationship agreements contain everything; who takes out the garbage, cooks, cleans, financial matters, what are you going to create together, what is your ‘break it/the relationship is over’ scenarios and yes even sex. When we’re clear about our needs and expectations and come to a mutual agreement without compromise, but rather agreements all parties are happy with, relationships have a firm foundation and love has a setting in which to flourish.

When I was growing up there was this lovely cartoon series created by New Zealand cartoonist Kim Casali. (Loveiscartoon.com) I remember waiting for the newspaper to see what the cartoon was that day. It is one of the few things that stuck in my memory about that time in my life. So I’m taking a leaf out of her book, sans cartoons to illuminate my thoughts about love in the upcoming blog posts. Some you may agree with some you may not, it is just my opinion, you have your own and that’s as it should be.

I encourage you to add your own in the comments sections & I will add them in.

Elk Birth Animal Totem ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Chik’chan

Elk Birth Animal Totem: Nov 22 – Dec 21

~ The elk helps you to hear what is being presented in the moment and on a superficial level
~ When you are in a negative pattern the elk will illuminate the story(s) behind it & help you break out of it
~ Elk teaches about living co-operatively in community, ya don’t need to do everything by yourself
~ The elk is also seen to be a master teacher and healer, one of their gifts is showing us how to understand sexuality and orgasm.
~ Elk people have the ability to get to the heart of the matter quickly. As they develop, elk people have clairvoyance and can project their thoughts
~ Elk are majestic, soft and strong all at the same time
~ Their innate sense of justice leads them to attend to injustices in their lives and cleanse them
~ Elk are impatient especially in matters of justice, sometimes their impatience can lead to havoc instead of resolution . Once elk has made up their mind they usually won’t change it. Although it may appears as a quick decision they have been ruminating for a while. Never try to “win” an argument with an elk. They can make themselves sick with their stubbornness if they are not careful
~ They are thoughtful and introspective

Animal totems are numerous and varied, beliefs about how many we have and what they do, are just as varied. I present what I have been taught and experienced. Trance drum journeys are a way to find your animal totems, be it just one or many. I facilitate drum journeys. Should you be interested in doing one, contact me & we’ll set up an appointment for this magickal experience.

So what are Totem Animals and why would you even want one? Animal Totems are animal spirit allies, on your journey in this lifetime. They give you advice when asked for, and answer questions you have. They can support you when you’re scared, help empower you, clarify things, show you the next step in your healing journey, walk with you as a trusted companion and more. There are 9 Animal Totems, one in the centre and 8 around your Animal Totem Medicine Wheel. Are they real animal spirits? Well I don’t think it matters one iota if they are or aren’t, what you imagine you create. Whatever you believe and experience is your truth. It is the wisdom & knowledge you get from them that matters, not whether you believe that it’s an animal spirit or a part of your own psyche.

On Sept 21st Mayan Daykeeper Imix brought us back to the beginning of a new cycle of 20 days. This cycle we are looking at creation through imagination. The relevant daily information on today’s Mayan Daykeeper is below todays musings.

We are creators of our lives, what we imagine we create.

We are looking at ‘The Twelve Imaginings’. The were given to Hyemeyohsts Storm by Estcheemah. She was a Zero Chief. Hyemeyohsts wrote these down in his book Lightningbolt. What is a Zero Chief? My understanding is the Zero chiefs were a secret group of people that keep the spiritual & healing knowledge of the Native Americans when it needed to go underground, to preserve it and keep it safe due to colonization. Now I could be wrong, but there it is, make of it what you will.

We will do an imagining a day for 2 days. On the third day I will add an imagining of my own. You are invited to add imaginings of  your own in the comments section on any day. On the 20th day of the cycle I will list all the imaginings that have been submitted.

The 3rd Imagining ~ I imagine that sex is natural – and can be beautiful

I invite you to sit with this imagining, and see what it means to you.

Here’s some of what it means to me:Imaginings, creation, sex, natural, mayan, daykeeper, chik'chan, connect with nature, sacred, humans, intuition, instinct, medicine, healing through ceremony.com, michele fire-river heart

This is really important. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey.

This cycle I am looking at the interconnection between The Twenty Great Teachers of Life and The Earth Count. Let’s see what their interconnection has to teach us. The relevant daily information on each energy is below todays musings.

sex, great teachers, mayan daykeeper kimi, ancestors, death, funerals, eternal, healingthroughceremony.com, michele fire-river heartThe Interconnection of sex and spirit-spirit ~ “Aaaah aaah aaah, oh God, oh God, oh God!” Apart from the obvious physical pleasure of good consensual sex, it is one of the few places where we touch spirit without trying. We are fully present in the moment of orgasm there is a connection to spirit and nothing else. Then as women, if we conceive,  our wombs become an
inter-dimensional
transportation
device for a spirit to come into form. Pretty cool eh!

6 – The Sixth Great Teacher is Sex
Sex teaches us about the pleasure of spirit

Well crap no edges here. Sex eh! Okay, sex is supposed to be pleasurable, and sometimes it has been, sometimes it has not. What I have learnt along the way, is it shows me how much intimacy I can engage with, if I can be present, if I can express my needs. If I can and want to give to another, how I will stand in my boundaries or not, which shows me my attachment to the other person, and how honourable I am willing to be, to my self. It’s actually quite a good litmus test of where my heart is at, in relationship. How vulnerable I can be, and if not why? How vulnerable I can be because I’m a woman. How to not put myself in a position of vulnerability where I am at risk.  It has taught me a lot about ‘power over’, violence, gentleness, honouring, caring, woundings, healings. How comfortable or not I am with my body and myself. How sensitive I am, how shut down I can be. That self pleasuring is normal and essential to understanding what makes us feel good, without knowing ourselves how are we going to express our needs to another.

Sex has been called ‘Le petit mort’, the little death, as at orgasm we are only with the energy, a spiritual vibration. In this way we get to experience the pleasure of spirit. Perhaps this is one of the reasons it’s so popular?

It’s curious that it’s such an important part of life, yet we are taught the least about it, if anything at all. There’s something to be said for ancient cultures that used to have more mature men and women who were skilled at sex, to be the first person you had sex with. Someone who was kind, gentle, experienced and willing to hold a space for you during your first time and teach you what good sex is. I wonder how different my life would have been, had this been my first experience?

What has sex taught you?

6 – The Six – The Six is called SPIRIT-SPIRIT
SIX is the number for Experiencing the Presence of Life. When the human children of Mother Earth are conscious and Present with the Spirit of Life they are Experiencing the Six.
The SIX is called SPIRIT-SPIRIT because all things Born into Substance are Born from Spirit. This we humans learn as we Experience Life. Six directions make up all Spheres: East, West, South, North, Zenith, and Nadir. (Zenith: The As Above, Nadir: The So Below)
Come, Children, find your dance as Spirits.
Experience your Existence. How will you Choose to See your Life?
(Hyemeyohsts Storm’s Earth Count)

6 – Mayan Daykeeper Kimi ~ The essence of Kimi is death of the physical body in this lifetime. Kimi invites us to look at all aspects of death. Make death an ally, rather than an unknown fear.

Those affected by Kimi’s presence may be aware of ancestors,
both their own and those of others.
Kimi may bring to your awareness the immortal spirit
within and beyond the human body.

On Kimi days, you may choose to remember ancestors,
appreciate what has been passed on to you
and remember that a part of you lives on forever.

Those born with Kimi as their Daykeeper
are capable of clarifying the meaning and purpose of death
through discovering the gifts of humanity’s ancestors.
They respect those that have gone before them
and often give voice to those whose voices are no longer heard.

Ok is here today (Mayan Daykeeper)

The essence of Ok is the pure energy of carnal yearnings. It is also an awareness of our connection to our primordial instincts & intuitive senses.

10 – Ok    and   10 – Pure intellect and measure. Creation gave humans the power of reason and self choice. Ten is also the number of the humans’ higher self, their Sacred Twin, what can give greater measure than this Spirit-knowing? (Hyemeyohsts Storm’s Earth Count)

Well I didn’t see a connection with carnal yearnings, but I do now, from my perspective it is about knowing oneself. Ok is just that, knowing yourself intimately including your intuitive abilities. Getting to truly know who you are is of paramount importance to a balanced happy life. We adapt as children to survive our environments, often suppressing our true natures. This adaptation becomes a coat, that can be fused to us to such an extent that we do not even remember being without it. It becomes our current way of being and our original true mayan, daykeeper, Ok, carnal yearnings, touch, affection, desire, HEALINGthroughCEREMONY.com, Michele Fire-River Heartself is hidden. What coat to you currently wear that you know about?

We have the ability to be chameleon like showing a different coats appropriate for different situations. Take the very used example of a mom defending her child, what do we call that coat …… a mama lioness coat. When we heal, find and take off our chosen coats we are being a mama lioness to that little soul before adaptation.

We have an internal guidance system, you know the feeling you get within yourself if something doesn’t sit right with you. Honour it as much as you are able in the present moment, this is a great first step to remembering yourself. Now I’m not suggesting you do this with large traumas, assistance is often needed to work through your healing in these situations. I’m talking about starting with little things. Little things can actually make a big impact. Do you want to do that favour, go to that party, make that compromise? If not don’t do it and see how you feel. You can start with things within your own circle, it’s amazing the effect it has on you.

I am working on releasing my poverty mentality. It’s cherry season and I haven’t bought cherries in years due to the price. I was about to do the exact same thing last week and I thought ‘no, this is poverty mentality, buy them’, well the nourishment I got from buying those cherries went far beyond the physical body, mayan, daykeeper, Ok, carnal yearnings, touch, affection, lioness, lion cub, desire, HEALINGthroughCEREMONY.com, Michele Fire-River Heart and the metaphor ‘Life is like a bowl of cherries’ was not lost on me. Of course there was a time I couldn’t afford those cherries, but I’m not talking about doing things you actually can’t afford to do, financially or otherwise. Self care and safety are number one priorities.

What can you do for yourself today, that you have been denying yourself? An hour all alone soaking in a tub, saying no to something you don’t want to do but would normally say yes to grudgingly, a bowl of cherries? Have a safe empowering day, you deserve it. If you think you don’t deserve it, do it for that little child inside you, sometimes that’s easier……. you are the mama lioness!

Ok may be experienced as a heightened sensitivity to your inner feelings and desires,
as well as enhanced awareness of your environment.

Ok may express as a strong desire, a sense of loyalty
or the need to allow desire to guide your actions.
Ok’s days are good for allowing yourself to be guided by your desires and intuition,
trusting yourself and enjoying every moment.

Those born on a Ok day may be loyal, flamboyant, intuitive
and available for the true desires of the moment.

Ok is present today (Mayan Daykeeper)

Desire mmmmmmm, there are so many things to desire. Sex, ice-cream, liquid assets, vacations, cuddles. How about deeper stuff, how about contentment, happiness, moments of bliss, impeccability, supportive friends, deep conversation, self acceptance and the ability to be yourself in every moment. To honour your boundaries, your needs and yes your desires.

When I think about what takes up more of my attention, what I strive for, it is the latter. Today I will intend to not get cranky, which is common by the end of the day. To just not indulge in frustration, but rather to indulge in just being okay with what is. That sounds all airy fairy to me, bottom line when I get tired today, I will just be tired not irritable & tired. Adding the word indulge to being okay helps me to see it as something yummy, which actually it is. Interesting I am feeling a sense of freedom with this intent. Let’s see how my day goes shall we…..

I’ll take a leaf out of this dude’s book …… chill man!

It’s an Ok day (Mayan Daykeeper)

Carnal yearnings often conjures up images of the forbidden.  We all need touch & affection, it is as important to us as breathing. Do you know that science has discovered that an infant that is not given affection will often die. (I do not have resources at the tips of my fingers, please do your own work to validate this) We have made touch ‘bad, evil, suspect’, I believe reframing it is essential to us coming back into balance. Touch, sex, affection are indeed necessary for balance, and no you do not need a partner for this.

I invite you to just caress your cheek once a day for a week & see how it makes you feel.
