The Interconnection of Care & Grandmother Earth ~ Today’s Daykeeper is Ik

Your interpretation and experience of these energies is your own. I can only share my personal understanding, I invite you to explore what they mean to you and their relevance in your life. This is really important. We gain nothing by ‘taking on’ others life experiences and beliefs. The juice and healing comes from within your own understanding, it is pivotal for your healing journey.

This cycle I am looking at the interconnection between The Twenty Great Teachers of Life and The Earth Count. Let’s see what their interconnection has to teach us. The relevant daily information on each energy is below todays musings.

Interconnection between Care and Grandmother Earth ~ Well for me this is a no-brainer. Grandmother Earth cares for everything upon her, us included. When we live in balance we have everything we need. When looking from the perspective of self-acceptance this connection is brilliant. Anyone who works in gardens knows that some things die and others just appear out of nowhere and start to grow. That whenever you leave bare soil, vegetation rushes in to fill the void. The garden doesn’t judge death as wrong or birth as right it just is, what is …… acceptance.

Change is one thing you can count on, death & rebirth in all forms is natural. When you can accept this about yourself and your life, things go a lot smoooooother. All your Care, Teacher, Mayan, daykeeper, Ik, expansion, birth, burst, air, release, healing through ceremony.com, michele fire-river heartshoulds, musts, wishes & wants are a waste of energy and change nothing for the better. They limit you and your experience in this earth plane keeping you stuck in a loop.

So today I invite you to let go of just one piece of negative internal dialogue that is running around in your head. Open a door and just let it out each time it comes up, give it the boot. Something that helps me, is to imagine someone else saying these things to me, I would not allow it. It puts into perspective what I am saying to myself, which helps me let it go and be gentle with myself, and increase my self-acceptance. Easy does it, practice, practice, practice until that piece is replaced by a more positive pattern.

2 – The Second Great Teacher is Care
Care teaches us about self-acceptance

Self-care, a very bandied about word, that perhaps has lost it’s meaning due to this. If we look at care from the perspective of care for another does that reframe self-care for us? When I care for another person, I have love for them, want them to be safe, happy, have love, have their needs met, mentally, physically, spiritually. Have a safe home, friends that care about them, support them, stand by them even when the going gets tough or is not pretty, forgive them when they screw up. I hope they heal where needed, have courage to do what needs to be done, have strong boundaries. I hope that no harm comes to them and that they have a juicy life that feeds them on all levels. Now can I do that for me? In my paradigm that is self-care.

Now I ponder how does care teach us about self-acceptance? Let’s see, if I cannot forgive myself, it follows that I do not accept myself. If I cannot love myself, it follows that I do not accept myself. If I do not stand by myself, it follows that I do not accept myself. If I doCare, Teacher, Mayan, daykeeper, Ik, expansion, birth, burst, air, release, healing through ceremony.com, michele fire-river heart not have strong boundaries, well I probably do not feel I deserve to honour myself & it follows that I do not accept myself. If I do not care about myself enough to do what needs to be done, it follows that I do not accept myself. If I beat myself up when I make mistakes, I do not accept myself. If I expect myself to be perfect then I do not accept myself. Etc.

~ So can You care about yourself as much as you care for another, your child, your pet, your plant?
~ What is one thing you can do today for yourself, that is caring, that you normally don’t do?

2 – The Two ~ TWO is the number for the EARTH
The SecondBorn from Sacred Zero was Two. The Two exists in the West of the MedicineWheel, the place of the Colouring of Time.

2 – Mayan Daykeeper Ik ~ The essence of Ik is birthing through growth, literal & metaphorical.

impulses, actions or behaviors that seem
out of character or out of control.

2 – Ik      and     2 – Grandmother Earth  (Hyemeyohsts Storm’s Earth Count)

Well this one’s a no brainer, Grandmother Earth births us all, every living thing on her. So tick, number 2 interconnects. Birthing I love this metaphor for other things in life apart from actual birthing. Just like actual birthing it can be painful or not, quick or slow.

Well today’s the day when the energy is present for birthing, which manifests as greater momentum in birthing something new without you having to do anything different. So let’s get birthing folks. There are approx. 360,000 physical births per day worldwide, imagine how many metaphysical ones there are. Will you give birth today?

Ik is present today (Mayan Daykeeper)

So Ik invites us to push our boundaries & do something we wouldn’t normally do (In the light folks this isn’t an excuse for badass behaviour). Interestingly this brings up resistance in me. Initially I thought it was due to my preference for routine, however no. So much of my life has been about battling addiction in some form or another, that my usual feeling about doing something I wouldn’t normally do is related to not doing something. Don’t eat the sugar, don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t toke, definitely don’t do the coke …..hehehe! My choice of doing something I wouldn’t normally do today is to release the belief that I still need to do battle. This belief no longer serves me. My whole body just relaxed, nice…..

THE MAYAN DAYKEEPERS

The Mayan Daykeepers are spiritual beings with an archetypal energy within cycles of the Tzol’Kin or Mayan astrology. There are 20 Daykeepers each one presenting different energies & assigned to be present on certain days of the year. Rotating in a twenty day cycle.

I have found that having an awareness of which Daykeeper is present on any particular day, informs me about the active energy present that day. In this way I have more ease, fluidity & healing in my journey.

I offer a snipit of the knowledge presented in the book Mayan Calendar Voice of the Galaxy by Raymond Mardyks and Stacia Alana-Leah. They present comprehensive information on the way the calendar works, the energetics of the Daykeepers, the iconography of each Daykeeper, the symbol of each Daykeeper, meditations with the Daykeepers, as well as your personal birth Daykeeper.
